Early Years Refurbishment

At the start of September, following a summer of refurbishments, boys and girls entered brand-new Nursery classrooms. These classrooms represent many years of researching (and trialling) the best practices and products to provide an outstanding start to a child’s education.

We wanted the classrooms to feel inviting and safe, so all children felt at ease and comfortable learning. We also wanted to complement the initial building design, which promotes a seamless flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces. This interplay between the two areas is one of the reasons why our children enjoy coming to school so much (and the staff enjoy teaching!).

Our newly designed classrooms have already proven to provide a welcoming environment. It has been a delight to watch the new cohort explore, play and learn in a setting based on visibly neutral tones, allowing each child’s imagination to thrive.

This is also an opportunity for us to introduce Dr Christopher Halls as the new Head of Early Years, succeeding Dr Ruth Burtonshaw following her retirement from the role after 14 years.
