Brightlands in the 60s

Anybody remember all this?

Clearing out, so the heirs don't have to, I came across this picture. I am at the right hand end of the third row from the back. Mr Shakeshaft, who along with the wonderful Miss Kay inspired a lifetime fascination with maths and statistics. He sits next to Sister, who I believe he married. She was very sweet, and a great comfort to many of us away from home for the first time. On the right "Chips" Curtis, a genial teacher of RE who played Rugby. Next to him Mr Mclean. No-one has ever frightened me as much as Claney did in those few years. I'm sure that things changed since then.
